It started on Wall St. I got there right on time at 3 PM. For a while it was quiet, then the fight intensified. Participants were reminded not to bring feathers but of course they did bring plenty of feathers – people went wild every time one of those exploded.
It lasted for about an hour until the police ordered everyone to clear the area and “grow up”. Obviously not too many took that advice. They were still fighting on Broadway, and ended up having another mini-scene at City Hall. Some even suggested going back to Union Square to continue.
Not me, it was good enough already. I had feathers in my camera, lenses, bag, underwear, eyes… feathers everywhere. It took me half an hour to clean all that mess.
I probably won’t do this again. Not with my camera and contact lenses on, at least. Ok, but I must admit that it was fun.
